Following the Prime Minister’s latest announcement, like all businesses, Salterns Marina is committed to protecting its berth holders, tenants and staff during the Covid-19 pandemic. The marina and boatyard will continue to remain open and we are monitoring the Government guidance closely. We will of course keep you updated if we receive further clarification surrounding Marinas and any specific restrictions.
In line with the new UK Government restrictions; from Thursday 5th November we have all been instructed to stay at home – to protect the NHS and save lives. The Government has issued the following guidance and states people should only leave their homes for very limited purposes:
- for education
- for work, if you cannot work from home
- for exercise and recreation outdoors with the people you live with, with your support bubble or, when on your own, with 1 person from another household
- for medical reasons
- to shop for food and essentials
- to care for others
- Overnight stays and holidays away from primary residences will not be allowed.
Please rest assured that the team at Salterns are looking after the safety and security of your boat while you are at home. Our boatyard and marina offices remain open and if you have already booked your winter lift out, works ashore and storage ashore this will go ahead as normal and our dedicated teams remain on hand to assist.

Outside Contractors
From Thursday the 5th November 2020, outside contractors will no longer be allowed on-site. Any work will need to be carried out by our boatyard and their approved sub-contractors. If you have work currently ongoing by an outside contractor, please contact us directly so we can discuss this.
